Golf Season Passes for the 2019 season will go on sale starting Saturday, March 30, for the three Buffalo Olmsted Parks golf courses (Cazenovia, Delaware and South Park). Weather permitting, the season is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 7am – 7pm.

“As we swing into spring, we look forward to welcoming golfers back and remind our loyal patrons that we continue to offer the most affordable golf in town,” said Stephanie Crockatt, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy’s executive director. “The Olmsted park system is home to three public courses totaling 36 holes. Our operational mission remains focused on park excellence, and we look forward to another year of providing quality, value-based public golf experiences for all players, all season long.”

A seasonal golf pass allows City of Buffalo residents, as well as non-residents, to enjoy golf at all three Olmsted courses any day during the season: Cazenovia Park and South Park, (both 9-hole courses), and Delaware Park (18-hole course). The parks have been working hard to improve the conditions and overall maintenance of the three courses. The investment of hiring two full-time Greenskeepers have added to the professionalism of the maintenance and have raised the quality of the courses.

FootGolf, a hybrid of golf and soccer, returns for another season at Delaware Park. “Everyone who has come out the last couple of summers had a really good time,” said Dave Hoover, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy’s Golf Operations Manager. “We look forward to continuing to provide a Footgolf course and the equipment needed to play, and encourage everyone of all ages to come out and try this fun sport.”

About the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy is the first nonprofit organization in the nation to manage and operate an entire urban park system that consists of over 850 acres of parks, parkways and circles. The park system was designed more than 150 years ago by America’s first landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Today, over 2.5 million people use Buffalo’s historic and award-winning Olmsted Park System annually for recreation, relaxation and rejuvenation. Since 2004, basic maintenance of the parks has greatly improved since the groundbreaking public-private agreement between the City of Buffalo, Erie County and the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy. The Conservancy is a community organization whose mission is to promote, preserve, restore, enhance and maintain the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed landscapes in the Greater Buffalo area.
