About the 5 Year Plan Process
Through this planning process, the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy seeks to develop a list of prioritized projects for the next five years. This is an effort that follows the Plan for the 21st Century, our master plan for the Buffalo Olmsted Park System that was created in 2008. We will be releasing the 5 Year Plan at the State of the Parks in May 2019. For any inquiries, please reach out to the Conservancy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Three Rounds of Community Meetings across Five Olmsted Neighborhoods
Community engagement is key to this planning process. To ensure that we reach all park neighbors, supporters and visitors throughout the entire Olmsted Park System, the Conservancy is holding a series of community meetings in each of the five park districts: Delaware District, MLK Jr. Park, South District, Riverside Park and West District.
Community Meeting Round 1: July – September 2018
The first round of community meetings addressed (1) park improvements that have been made over the last 10 years and (2) park improvement priorities and projects to focus on over the next 5 years.
Community Meeting Round 2: October – November 2018
The second round of community meetings (1) reviewed community input from the first meeting and (2) identified priority projects the 5 Year Pan.
Community Meeting Round 3: January 2018
Details to be announced.
5 Year Plan Survey
In addition to the community meetings, the Conservancy is seeking feedback through a public survey.
