Location and Parking:

Our location for the Shoreline Sweep press event will be at the base of Hoyt Lake, just down the stairway entrance. The official address is 199 Lincoln Pkwy, Buffalo, NY 14222. This location is directly across the street from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. It is off of Lincoln Pkwy and can be easily located on iPhone Maps by typing in “Hoyt Lake Rowboats”. There is street parking lining the park and pull-in parking spots across from the stairway entrance leading to Hoyt Lake. Parking is free for these two options.

We ask all Elected Officials and local leaders to arrive no later than 9:50AM with a press event start of 10:00AM sharp. We are incredibly excited about the large turnout for this press event. We respectfully ask, however, that remarks be kept to a minute or less due to the large attendance. Thank you so much for your help, support, and attendance at our press event and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

More about Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper and the Spring Shoreline Sweep:

Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring our most valuable natural asset. Over the past 25 years, we’ve tackled some of the region’s biggest fresh water challenges such as cleaning up toxic sediment, eliminating sewage overflows, restoring critical habitat, and advocating for the long-term health of the Great Lakes. Our actions protect drinking water, connect people to waterways, and contribute to a thriving water-based economy.

Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper organizes the largest single day Shoreline Sweep in Western New York. Thanks to thousands of community members who continue to give back to the community at this event, the Sweep impacts over 40 waterfront sites throughout Western New York. This direct form of citizen action reconnects the public with our local waterways, increases awareness and encourages long term stewardship activities.
