Region Central “Scajaquada Corridor” Public Meeting

Region Central is a comprehensive, inclusive, and visionary effort to create a better future for all who live, work, play, and travel in the heart of the Buffalo Niagara region by reimagining mobility options within the Scajaquada Corridor.

The meeting will present four scenarios for reimagining the Scajaquada Corridor and will provide an opportunity for public comment.

The scenarios for Region Central have been developed over 12 months of research, planning, community outreach, and analysis and represent a range of possibilities for the future of mobility in the Scajaquada Corridor.

Scajaquada’s Community Impact | Buffalo was built upon a series of natural and man-made resources that for much of the city’s history have shaped a cohesive urban ecosystem. Many city neighborhoods were established around their proximity to such natural resources as parks and waterways. Scajaquada Creek is a prime example of how multiple communities were given birth from the same source, in this case along an inward waterway weaving a path to the Niagara River.
