About Parkside Lodge’s Picnic Area

  • It can hold 100 – 150 guests depending on type of event
  • There is no shelter, however, you can rent a tent for that space
  • Restroom facilities are available in the Parkside Lodge building

Pricing and Time Allocated

  • The Picnic Area rents for $300.00 for 5 hours on the weekends and $150.00 for 5 hours on the weekdays (includes set-up/clean up)
  • $75.00 per hour above the five-hour basic rental time
  • Event dates can be held for one week on the calendar without any payment. After one week of holding period, a minimum downpayment of $100.00 is required to be made to officially secure the date
  • A Security Deposit Fee of $250 is required – any violations, damage or falsification of rental terms will result in forfeiture of the deposit fee
  • Rental payment and security deposit must be fully paid 30 days prior to your event, no exceptions allowed

Permits that you may require

  • Currently, there is no assigned caterer for this venue – all caterers must have the appropriate permits/licenses/insurance, including a liquor permit, and must provide a copy to the Conservancy
  • If alcohol will be served at the Parkside Lodge and you do not have a caterer, a permit is needed to be purchased from the NYS Liquor Authority. Details for this can be found at
  • Some events may require city permits, depending on the size and type of event. The event organizer is responsible for securing all necessary permits

Other things to note

  • Golf courses are open from late April – late October, there will be golfers in the immediate area
  • Parking is limited near the building. Ample additional parking is nearby in the lot at the entryway, on Ring Road, and in the neighborhood
